Who I am
My journey into leathercrafting began with a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship and leather. I love sourcing different types of leather and exploring how their unique properties make them perfect for creating high-quality items. What truly excites me is the ability to combine traditional techniques, like saddle stitching, with the finest leathers from renowned tanneries to create something exceptional.
This passion for leatherwork evolved into a business when friends saw my creations and asked me to teach them how to make their own. After a fun and successful keychain-making session, they encouraged me to start sharing my craft with others. Now, I’m excited to help teams bond and have fun while learning the art of leathercrafting.
The name Cuirated is a blend of cuir (French for leather) and curate. My time studying abroad in Paris deepened my appreciation for Europe’s rich leather-making traditions, particularly the craftsmanship of the French and Italians. I thoughtfully source and curate each leather, ensuring you leave with a piece that lasts.
